The PHILIPPINE FOUNDATION CENTER (PFC) is a one stop resource and
information center on non-government organizations (NGOs), foundations and the civil
society sector in general. It was established by the Association of Foundations (AF) http://www.afphils.net. |
AF is a 30-year old
national network of 134 NGOs and foundations which engage in programs on education, art
and culture, science and technology, governance, social development, micro-finance, and
environment. Through the years, AF has built a niche in civil society for information
management activities, having provided up-to-date information on foundation profiles and
best practices, trends in development work, and institution and capacity building
opportunities. AF matches needs and resources in ways that benefit and strengthen the
not-for-profit community in the Philippines.
The PFC provides:
- Relevant, up-to-date information on NGOs,
foundations and donors - their programs and projects, scope of operations, partner and
beneficiaries, and issues and concerns.
- Research on trends in the civil society
sector, on areas such as philanthropy, impact assessment, governance and regulation, and
the like.
- Training and education sessions on topics
like financial management, fund raising, proposal writing, board governance and similar
